Postdoctoral Research Associates (PDRAs) may enroll in a University-provided dental plan. Brown offers dental coverage through Delta Dental of Rhode Island, with two plan options available: Comprehensive and Plus.
The Plus plan includes all benefits of the Comprehensive plan, along with enhanced coverage for certain services—such as dental implants and orthodontia for dependent children. Eligible dependents may be covered until age 26.

Employee contribution rates for dental plans are available in the 2026 Faculty & Staff Rates document. Contributions are deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis.
Please note that the employer contribution is $18.30 regardless of which dental plan or the level of coverage you select.
