As Brown employees, Postdoctoral Research Associates (PDRAs) are eligible to enroll in vision insurance through VSP’s Choice Plan.
VSP offers a nationwide network of providers and discounts at retail chains. The plan includes comprehensive vision exams, contact lens fitting exams, and savings on lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
If you elect to participate, you will pay the full cost of coverage at Brown’s group rate, with contributions deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis. Please note that VSP does not issue ID cards.

Please note that Postdoctoral Fellows who are paid a salary or stipend by or through Brown University are not eligible for vision insurance.
