The School of Public Health has two types of Postdoctoral appointments, Postdoctoral Research Associates and Postdoctoral Fellows.
Both are intended to enhance and support the academic and research development of the appointee and postdocs engage in high-quality, interdisciplinary research. Postdoctoral Research Associates are employees of the university, who are eligible for a full range of benefits. Postdoctoral Fellowships are a special category of postdocs who bring their own funding to the university or who are funded through NIH training grants.
