The mission of the Office of Women in Medicine and Science (OWIMS) is to advance the academic progress and professional development of its women faculty, house officers, students and trainees through education, advocacy, mentoring and networking. OWIMS offers educational programs to meet the needs of its many constituencies.
SACNAS is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Latinx and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM. SACNAS’ mission is to promote and achieve true diversity in STEM through professional development, civic engagement, and community building.
oSTEM at Brown chapter’s mission is to empower LGBTQIA+ folks at Brown University studying or working in STEM fields to succeed personally, academically, and professionally. oSTEM aims to achieve this mission by building a community of LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, staff, and alumni and by developing initiatives that foster innovation, leadership, and advocacy.
The Brown Korean Postdoc Association (Brown KPA) supports Korean postdoctoral researchers, visiting scholars, and researchers at similar career stages affiliated with Brown University. Incoming and existing researchers are welcome to join Brown KPA. We aim to promote and achieve career goals through regular meetings, group lunches, study groups, and research seminars.
