A note about software access for externally funded Postdoctoral Fellows: In some past cases, Postdoctoral Research Associates who transition to an externally funded Postdoctoral Fellow appointment have lost access to University-provided software. The OIT software catalog lists available software and identifies the campus population each program is licensed to serve, such as all faculty, Brown-paid faculty, the Brown community, or BioMed users only. If you lose access to a software program after transitioning to an externally funded Postdoctoral Fellow appointment, please work with your department administrative manager to contact OIT and request an exception. Decisions about software access exceptions are made solely by OIT.
