The Brown Postdoc Labor Organization (BPLO) represents postdoctoral research associates, Deans’ Faculty Fellows, and other postdoctoral appointees who are paid a salary or stipend by or through Brown University. The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between Brown and BPLO was ratified on October 8, 2025, and is effective through June 30, 2029.
Union Membership and Fair Share Fee
If you are a postdoctoral research associate or postdoctoral fellow in the BPLO bargaining unit, your appointment letter from Brown will indicate this and include links to the electronic forms for union membership and Fair Share Fee deduction forms.
