Overview
The Office of BioMed Postdocs and Early Career Programs (PECP) supports approximately 80 Postdoctoral Research Associates and Postdoctoral Fellows across six departments within the Division of Biology and Medicine:
- Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology
- Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, & Biochemistry
- Molecular Microbiology & Immunology
- Neuroscience
- Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
- Psychiatry and Human Behavior
In addition to investigator-funded postdoctoral appointments and individual postdoctoral fellowships, the National Institutes of Health supports institutional training grant programs at Brown University. These programs prepare postdoctoral scholars for careers in high-priority areas of health research and offer a limited number of fellowship slots. Brown also offers fellowship opportunities, including the Dean's Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biology and Medicine and the Presidential Postdoctoral Research Associate Program.
