Union-eligible postdoctoral appointees receive a one-time onboarding supplement of $3,000, subject to applicable taxes and withholdings upon starting their appointments at Brown.

The following exceptions are not eligible for the onboarding supplement:

• Deans’ Faculty Fellows
• Brown doctoral students who have completed their PhD and are immediately appointed to a postdoctoral role

Please note that a prior affiliation with a Brown-affiliated hospital or prior residency in the Providence area does not affect eligibility for the onboarding supplement.
